Economic Releases for Tuesday, 17th May 2011
Amongst the most significant releases on the calendar today is this morning's data from the UK; specifically, the Consumer Price Index due for release at 0830 GMT. Providing an indication of the levels of British inflation, the data will be closely examined to see how the British consumer is likely to be affected by rising prices. Other events of significance include the Germany and EMU Zew Surveys; US Housing Starts and Building Permits; and PPI data from New Zealand.
