Economic Releases for Monday, 16th May 2011

Good morning all. We hope that Friday the 13th didn't prove too detrimental to your trading...!

Slightly fewer events on the calendar today, however we do see a small number of significant releases from the EMU and the US between 0900 and 1300 GMT. Also note that this morning sees a handful of data releases from the BRIC nations.
  • Russia Gross Domestic Product QoQ & YoY: 0900 GMT;
  • India WPI Inflation: 0630 GMT;
  • EMU Consumer Price Index MoM & YoY: 0900 GMT;
  • EMU Consumer Price Index - Core: 0900 GMT;
  • US NY Empire State Manufacturing Index: 1230 GMT;
  • Canada Manufacturing Shipments: 1230 GMT;
  • US Net Long-term TIC Flows: 1300 GMT;
  • US Total Net TIC Flows: 1300 GMT;
  • Fed's Bernanke Speech: 1300 GMT;
  • US NAHB Housing Market Index: 1400 GMT.
