Economic Releases for Friday, 13th May 2011

Gross Domestic Product is the feature of the day today, with the EMU; and several of its member Economies; all reporting the GDP growth this morning. Amongst the nations releasing GDP data are Germany; France (already reported this morning as 1% QoQ); Spain; Portugal; and Greece. Other notable releases include Swiss Producer and Import Prices; a speech by the ECB's Jean-Claude Trichet; and US CPI.
  • German Gross Domestic Product QoQ & YoY: 0600 GMT;
  • Swiss Producer and Import Prices MoM & YoY: 0715 GMT;
  • ECB Trichet's Speech: 0800 GMT;
  • EMU Gross Domestic Product QoQ & YoY: 0900 GMT;
  • ECB Trichet's Speech: 0800 GMT;
  • US Consumer Price Index: 1230 GMT;
  • US Consumer Price Index Ex Food & Energy MoM & YoY: 1230 GMT;
  • Canada New Motor Vehicle Sales: 1230 GMT;
  • US Reuters/Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index: 1355 GMT.
